Fire Prevention and Public Safety Education

The Fire Marshal's Office is dedicated to providing residents, workers and visitors of Hatfield Township with the proper fire and safety training they may need in the event of an emergency. Our staff conducts presentations and demonstrations to various facilities, businesses and community groups throughout the year.

Be sure to check out the safety tips sheet and fire prevention/safety links found on the Safety and Code Enforcement home page.

Please contact the Fire Marshal's Office to request a fire and safety program at your facility. These programs can also be presented in the community room at the Township Administration Building.

Yellow Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST)

The Office of State Fire Commissioner in cooperation with the National Association of Fire Marshals is urging all property owners with buildings and homes constructed after 1989 with yellow CSST installed to have the tubing checked for proper bonding and grounding. Yellow CSST is a flexible metal gas tubing used to supply natural gas or propane to furnaces, water heaters and/or other gas appliances. CSST should be grounded and bonded by a qualified electrician to reduce the likelihood of fire or explosions. Homes built or remodeled since 2008 should not be an issue. For more information, see www.CSSTSafety.com.
