A one-of-a-kind tournament on a one-of-a-kind course

Hello friends, and welcome to the Hatfield Family Classic, the first (and as far as we know, only) inter-generational golf event designed to bring families together to enjoy a game they love on a golf course they love—Twin Woods Golf Course in beautiful Hatfield, PA.

Many golfers in this area learned how to play the game at Twin Woods, and that's a big reason it is the perfect place to play the Classic. Many of you may still play there. Even if it's been awhile, we hope you will sign up to play with one of your loved ones and rekindle your love for this quirky but fun 9-hole golf course. Relive the memories you may have made here as a young golfer, or make some new ones with your family.

Whatever your reasons for playing, we're glad you decided to join us, and we look forward to making this tournament a special day for each of you.

hole 1 marker

Hello friends, and welcome to beautiful Twin Woods Golf Course. Your view down the Far Out 405-yard Hole #1 spans a pond and a line of trees on the left along the road. The fairway is straight and narrow and runs parallel to the Hole #3 fairway to the right. A good second shot lands left of a row of trees that meets the fairway 100 yards from the green. Big hitters can get here in two, but for most, your third shot should find the green and give you a shot at birdie or par.

Hole 4 marker

Another 90-degree dogleg, a creek to cross and out-of-bounds markers along the left of the fairway offer a challenging Hole 4, Putza's Corner. Your second 150-yard shot should have you dancing, but be careful not to skull your ball into the trees behind the green.

Hole 7 marker

A straight drive down Hole #7 will land beyond a couple of pesky trees and display a 45-degree view of the green. The third bunker you’d like to avoid guards the right side of the green, which slopes toward the road.

Hole 2 marker

Hole 2 is a long Par 3, with out-of-bounds lawns on the left and a bunker down the middle about 15 yards from the green. A straight 175-yard drive will put you in great position for a birdie or par.

Hole 5 marker

This short Par 3 offers a beautiful view of the green … across a stream and through a narrow opening under a canopy of trees. Hole #5, Flo & the Pro, has been called the signature hole at Twin Woods.

Hole 8 marker

Hole #8's fairway stretches 150 yards toward yet another 90-degree dogleg, this one to the right. A beautiful green, guarded by a sand trap to the right, lies beneath a canopy of trees. This short par 4, The Relaxer, offers a good chance for a par or birdie.

Hole 3 marker

Number 3 at Twin Woods is listed as the most difficult hole on the course. There are out-of-bounds markers all along the left side, before and after the 90-degree dogleg left that is 150 yards from the tee. When you reach the corner and look down the fairway you’ll see your next challenge … a pond that is 10 yards from the green. But wait, there's more—the green slopes back toward the pond for a tricky putt...which is why we named Hole 3 The Monster.

Hole 6 marker

Back out in the open, the par 5 Hole #6 is the third 90-degree dogleg on the course—this one to the right about 200 yards down a narrow fairway. With woods on the left, out-of-bounds markers on the right, and a bunker hiding behind trees just beyond the dogleg, The Deceiver is the fifth-hardest hole on the course.

Hole 09 marker

The last par 5 at Twin Woods, The Dragon, is narrow, with another 90-degree dogleg left and out-of-bounds markers along both sides. You’ve probably noticed this by now, but the Hole #9 green is just like all of the others you’ve played … a circle. You’ve probably also discovered now that this 9-hole course offers a delightful two-hour round of challenging golf.
