NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY
SATURDAY, April 27th, 2024 | 10 AM - 2PM
On Saturday, April 27th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Hatfield Township Police Department will be participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day by hosting a collection site at the Hatfield Administration Building located at 1950 School Road in Hatfield. The Hatfield Township Police Department will be joining with the DEA, state police, and other local law enforcement agencies in this collaborative effort focused on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from our Nation’s medicine cabinets. A National Take-Back day will provide a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for safe destruction. This one-day effort will bring national focus to the issue of pharmaceutical controlled substance abuse. Any controlled, non-controlled, and over-the-counter medications will be accepted for safe disposal. Sharps and syringes will not be accepted due to safety concerns about potential threat of blood-borne pathogens.
